Akane Kubo was born in Niigata/Japan, and received her early musical training in her home town. At age 18 she was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she received her masters degree having studied piano with Patsy Toh, and chamber music with Georffrey Pratley. In 2006, she came to Munich, Germany, where she studied piano with Gernot Sieber at the Richard-Strauss-Conservatory, and song accompaniment with Donald Sulzen at the Munich Music Academy, where she received her Masterclass Diploma in 2010. She took part in master classes with Jacques Rouvier, Rudolf Buchbinder, Ingid Kremling and Irwin Gage.
Currently she is a free-lance acccompanist in Munich.
