Head of Music in three different schools; until 2006, Deputy Headteacher at Crawshaw High School, Pudsey, Leeds; now retired and writing/performing full time. 1978 – 2005 : Musical Director of ‘Connexion’, big band & chorus 1987 – 1989 : Composer, Musical Director & Producer of "A Tale of Two Cities" with Yeadon Amateur Operatic Society. 1989 : Guest Conductor, the Sinfonia of Leeds. 1996 : One of four finalists in the BBC / British Music Writers’ Council National Arrangers Award 2004 onwards : Pianist, Arranger & Composer for the jazz ensemble, The Loose Connexion 2010 : Winner of the Cornwall International Male Voice Choral Festival Composition Competition (Truro, Sept. 2010) 2012. |
