Norberto Oldrini

Norberto Oldrini (Milan, Italy, 1968) studied Musicology at Università di Bologna with Aldo Clementi, Mario Baroni, Roberto Leydi. Self-taught composer, he also trained with Detlev Glanert. His music is performed worldwide, with more than 200 performances: New York, Chicago, London, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Beijing, Budapest, Rome, Belgrade, Manchester, Hartford, Colorado Springs, Monroe, Knoxville, Bologna, Siena, Montepulciano, Perugia, and in many other cities in the U.S.A., Italy, U.K., Germany, Serbia, Portugal, Roumania, Libya, Bosnia, Belgium, for festivals and institutions such as New York University, New York Composers' Circle, University of Louisiana Monroe (LA, USA), University of Hartford's Hartt School Of Music (CT, USA), Nuova Consonanza (Rome), Contemporanea (Udine, Italy), Europäische Akademie für Musik (Montepulciano, Italy), University of Tennessee (TN, USA), Westchester Community College (NY, USA), Colorado College (Colorado Springs, USA), Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing (China), Liszt Ferenc Zeneakadèmia (Budapest), Niš International Music Festival (Serbia), Universidade de Aveiro (Portugal), Zilele Muzicii Contemporane (Bacău, Roumania), Centro Nacional de la Música (Buenos Aires), Intersonanzen (Potsdam, Germany), as well as many other theaters in the US, and have been broadcast by Italian, foreign and web broadcasters. Long and important collaborations are those with the Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte di Montepulciano, with the clarinetist Guido Arbonelli, with the writer Silvia Cassioli, with the choreographers Natalie Johnson (Natalie Johnson Dance), Haley McElwee (Simantikos Dance Chicago), Tina Mullone (ULM Dance Repertory Ensemble), with the Teatro Povero di Monticchiello, with the journals Auditorium and Musica/Realtà. Among the most important performers of his music, in addition to the aforementioned, there are the RNCM Symphony Orchestra conducted by Roland Böer, Algoritmo Ensemble, Minguet Quartett, Dr. K Sextet, Ascanio Quartet, Trio Vox, Nyky Trio, Ensemble Assisi Musiche, Louisiana Trio, Implosion Percussion Group, Blow Up Percussion, C.A.T. Ensemble, Alea Duo, MAN Trio, the soloists Georgina Stalbow, Lesley-Jane Rogers, Michela Caldesi, Maria Flavia Cerrato, Robert Botti, Stephen Porter, Kenyon Wilson, Gregory Wiest. Since 1999 he lives in Torrita di Siena (Italy).
